  3. This is absolutely the most awesome comic I’ve seen in a very very long time! I remain my faith in humanity (and orcs)!!! Great job to show case diversity!

  7. this is incredible, and the fantastic representation in the players really made me feel so so good. I was so happy to realize, upon a second reading, that the person in the pink shirt didn’t have long blonde hair, but was wearing hijab.

  8. Beautiful artwork! Cool concept. But respectfully, I’m not sure how to take this as a gay man. I guess I’m just tired of people finding it odd or humorous that two masculine gay men (creatures) can be attracted to and fall in love with each other. The fact is, they (we) do, quite often. Understandably, had you chosen female and male dueling creatures, it would have lost it’s punch (at least to straight people). I will say that I appreciate that you portrayed in some fashion the idea of this happening. Much appreciated. I suppose I hope for a time in our human future when people will read this kind of plot line and think…”I don’t understand. Why is this funny?” That said, I don’t want to diminish my appreciation for your incredible talent! You are very gifted. Thank you for sharing. I’ll look forward to your future work!

    • It really isn’t about them being male or gay. It could have been a female Orc, or a female player and a glutenous ooze, or trans player and a banshee. It’s about failing so badly at trying to hate someone that you fall in love with them instead. On the outside, it’s about a player’s embarrassment at rolling a 1, as they should be. I can understand why you’ve taken the view point that you have, and I do see where you’re coming from. I might be wrong, but from where I’m standing, I think you might be missing the real joke by taking the gender and sexual orientation of the characters too seriously.

    • Trust me, orientation has nothing to do with it. If you’ve played D’n’D, you know the dice rule all. That, and sometimes your GM/DM gets a little too creative and you end up with a life long partner on your quests that no one else in the world would understand. Like the Kobalds I accidentally seduced while playing good cop…

  10. This makes everything better! Makes everyone realize all the weird crazy things that happen in the DnD/pathfinder/D 20 worlds, and that you’re never alone in the humiliation that accompani- CRITICAL FAIL!? WHAT DID I DO? HOW IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO MAKE THAT MUCH NOISE? …Oh… random fruit tree for me to run into just sprouts out of the ground and starts dropping bowling ball sized pineapples… Of course…

  11. I have actually had campaigns that went like this… When the dice love you, they love you. Whe they hate you, that is actually when the fun can REALLY begin!

    • Thank you for your interest, I’m glad you enjoyed the comic! However, I will not be selling this comic anywhere. It would go against the contract I made with the artist as this is meant to be strictly a portfolio piece and an example of my script writing skills. It would also be unfair to the people who made the gaming post that inspired this.
